Frequently Asked Questions Are Mini Courses open to the public? Definitely! About a third of our enrollment is comprised of people outside of Northwestern. Full-time students at other schools are eligable for the NU student discount (valid school ID required). Is there an age restriction? Most of our classes do not have a minimum age for participation. However, it is important to note that unless otherwise specified, the instruction and material will be geared toward college-age students and adults. Where are the classes held? Most classes are held at the Norris University Center on Evanston's Northwestern Campus. If the online listing for a class states a location "TBD," a room has not been assigned yet. As soon as room information is available, it will be posted. Will my class always be in the same room? Not necessarily. Due to the nature of the student union, our classes are often moved in order to accomodate other events. The location specified in the course listing is for the first week of class. If there are any changes for subsequent weeks, the class will be notified via email. The current day's room locations can always be found on the event listing at the main entrances, near the elevators, and at the Information Desk.
