Volunteers are recognized each year at a special reception sponsored jointly by Northwestern University, the Evanston Community Foundation, Evanston Township High School and the City of Evanston . Nominations are solicited from all the agencies who utilize volunteers in Evanston . Five Outstanding Volunteers are selected from those selected in the 3 categories: Evanston Township High School students, Northwestern students, and Evanston residents. Those who are nominated in all categories are also recognized.
